Rudder Repair

This rudder made of carbon fibre was bent at the top end of the shaft. Watts Engineering was able to straighten it and re-machine it at the bearing points without dismantling it. The complete rudder can be mounted in their lathe to re-align the bearing boss.

Custom Aluminium Steering Pedestal

Fully Fabricated by Watts Engineering to drawings supplied by the builders of a 75 foot yacht, this pedestal required high grade full filet common alloy TIG welding to achieve a corrosion resistant construction. The surface was specially surface prepared and coated in a white gloss epoxy finish.

Large Connecting Rod

Large Connecting Rod from 16 cylinder ships engine. The locking dowels were flogged out.  Watts Engineering re-bored the Big End in the Dixi Borer, made new modified bearing shells, made and fitted new shell locking dowels.
